Sri Lanka – School Supplies – January 2024
The Mission
From January 16 to 29, 2024, we will be back in Sri Lanka with a group of new Solidarity Couriers, discovering the beauty of this fantastic island as we retrace the steps of the film *Serendip*. During the trip (organized by our partner tour operator Travel in Progress), the group, led by Antonio Di Leonardo, will deliver school supplies and clothing to the school in Ambewela. This collection also aims to fund the construction of a new classroom adjacent to the school.
We need €2,500 to build the new classroom and purchase school supplies for the school’s 200 children. If we exceed this amount, we will use the extra funds to buy additional supplies such as backpacks, shoes, and clothing. The video shows images of the school and the children we will meet.
