New missions, a classroom ready to go, and a project that continues to grow thanks to a network of people, schools, and partner companies

Real stories, upcoming missions, and people who are turning solidarity into something tangible.

Over the past few months, we’ve visited schools, built new relationships, launched fundraising campaigns, completed major projects, and begun planning our next missions. Here are some of the latest updates from the world of TakeMeBack – Corrieri Solidali.

The Carlotta Hall is ready

One of the most significant milestones of recent months has become a reality: the renovationof the Carlotta Hall in Sri Lanka is now complete. The official inauguration will take place in September 2026 and will be much more than just a ribbon-cutting ceremony; it will serve as a tangible symbol of what can be achieved when solidarity, trust, and collaboration translate into concrete action.

Safara Visits Schools

Over the past few months, we have screened the film *Safara* at three schools in the provinces of Chieti and Pescara—the Di Marzio-Michetti, the Liceo Classico G.B. Vico, andthe ITC Tito Acerbo —engaging in direct dialogue with hundreds of students.

Every meeting reminds us how important it is to create spaces for genuine dialogue: listening to the students’ questions, observing their reactions, and discussing human sustainability, education, and collective responsibility means building awareness—not just presenting a project.

Active missions

We currently have two fundraising campaigns underway—two real-life stories in progress.

🇱🇰 Sri Lanka – Tamil Namunukula School In the Badulla district, nestled in the mountains of Sri Lanka, there is a small kindergarten with two classes of children. It is called Tamil Namunukula School, and it is at the heart of a genuine partnership with the Selvaiezzi School in Chieti. The Italian children are raising funds to provide a complete school kit—backpack, notebooks, stationery, water bottle, lunchbox—to 105 Sinhalese children. The supplies are purchased directly on-site and delivered by our Solidarity Couriers in the area.

🇹🇭 Thailand – Xavier House In Umphang, on the border between Thailand and Myanmar, there is a shelter that houses 92 children: 64 in the main center and 28 young Burmese migrants at the nearby Learning Center. Xavier House is not just a building—it is a family. Supporting these young people is Father Alessio Crippa, a Xaverian missionary who chose to settle in that land years ago. Our Solidarity Couriers, Mattia Melone and Charline, will travel to the Center to deliver the supplies and document every moment.

Next steps

We are already working on new projects in Uganda and Burkina Faso, strengthening local relationships that enable us to develop sustainable, well-documented initiatives that are deeply rooted in the local community.

On May 28, we will also be participating in “Echi di Quartiere,” an initiative organized by the Selvaiezzi School in Chieti: a day when the neighborhood will become a workshop and the school will open its doors to the community. TakeMeBack will also have booths at the event, where students and families can learn more about the world of the Solidarity Couriers and make a tangible contribution to the fundraising effort for the school partnership with the Tamil Namunukula School in Sri Lanka.

Joining us will be the students from Infobasic – Istituto di Alta Formazione in Pescara, a higher education institution specializing in visual communication, design, and digital technologies, who are contributing to the project with enthusiasm and professionalism through marketing, graphic design, and communication activities.

Thanks to our partners

TakeMeBack continues to grow thanks to a network of companies that have chosen to turn social responsibility into a concrete, day-to-day commitment.

Companies such as Gruppo Xera, ZenShare UP – Interzen Consulting S.r.l., Sonicatel, Rustichella d’Abruzzo, and Città della Musica are making a tangible contribution to enabling missions, educational projects, and community initiatives, choosing to support TakeMeBack not only as partners but as active participants in a shared vision.

Because real change doesn’t come from a single action, but from the coming together of people, schools, businesses, and communities who decide to build something together.

And it is precisely these connections that TakeMeBack draws on, time and again.
