This year, Christmas brings not only lights, gifts, and the warmth of family, but also heartwarming stories of hope. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and Mattia’s tireless work, TakeMeBack has launched an extraordinary project at the Srinehru School in Chiang Mai in Thailand. A concrete example of how solidarity can change children’s futures—a gift that will last well beyond the Christmas season!
A Mission of Solidarity
The Srinehru School serves 114 children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded to provide a quality education to children in local communities, the school is much more than just a place of learning: it serves as a hub for the entire community, with a particular focus on the care and well-being of the children.
However, resources are limited; for this reason, a fundraising campaign has been launched to purchase school supplies and hygiene products.
Mattia's Role and the Success of the Fundraiser
Mattia, one of our Solidarity Couriers, is on the front lines in Thailand and has worked directly with the school to ensure that every donation is put to the best possible use. Thanks to the generosity of so many, we have managed to reach a significant portion of our goal. The funds have already made it possible to purchase:
- Notebooks, pens, crayons, rulers, and other essential school supplies.
- Backpacks and personal hygiene items, such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, and soap.
- Educational materials such as globes, a world map, and a projector.
Mattia said, “Every smile I see here reminds me of how important these small gestures are. For the children, even a notebook or a pen makes a huge difference.”
