The TakeMeBack documentary shines under the stars at the Chieti Film Festival, confirming the event as an unmissable showcase for culture and cinema.
Chieti, August 12, 2024 – The 2024 edition of the Chieti Film Festival, held in Largo Cremonesi and organized by Circolo Arci and Fictio Club in collaboration with Carlo De Virgiliis (who has been promoting the initiative for years), ended with great success.
The event celebrated cinema and culture, offering free screenings under the stars and attracting a large audience of enthusiasts. Among the most acclaimed moments, the documentary Serendip received particular acclaim, consolidating its cultural impact after almost three years on Netflix.
This film, shot by director Marco Napoli and produced by Antonio Di Leonardo and Andrea Mariani from Abruzzo, explores the work and commitment of TakeMeBack, a non-profit organization that combines travel with solidarity through a worldwide network of Solidarity Couriers. Each mission is documented on video so that donors can see every stage of the mission, from the purchase of materials on site to their delivery into the hands of the children, making this charity innovative, transparent, and engaging.
Antonio Di Leonardo, co-founder of TakeMeBack, warmly thanked everyone who made this success possible. "Serendip represents a journey of discovery and solidarity that we wanted to share with the world, and the warmth with which it was received at the festival fills us with pride. This recognition encourages us to continue our cultural and social commitment."
The festival remains an unmissable event for the local community and an important showcase for documentary cinema. The quality and relevance of the screenings demonstrate the importance of continuing to organize similar events in the years to come, to ensure that the festival remains a benchmark and a significant showcase for stories and narratives that deserve to be shared.
