THE COMPANY
Founded in 1924, Rustichella d’Abruzzo is one of Italy’s most prestigious producers of artisanal pasta. Located in the heart of Abruzzo, a region renowned for its culinary traditions, the company was born from the Peduzzi family’s dream of bringing the quality and authenticity of true Italian pasta to tables around the world. Today, after nearly a century of history, Rustichella d’Abruzzo continues to produce pasta using artisanal methods, selecting only the finest ingredients and adhering to traditional production techniques. Every pasta shape is bronze-cut and dried slowly, preserving all the flavor and texture that make Rustichella pasta unique.
“In 1924, Gaetano Sergiacomo—the paternal grandfather of the current owners, Gianluigi and Maria Stefania Peduzzi, and the son of renowned millers who worked in the Vestina area—decided to leave the family business and found the “Pastificio Gaetano Sergiacomo” in Penne. In 1980, under the watchful eye of Piero Peduzzi, Pastificio Sergiacomo became Rustichella d’Abruzzo, guaranteeing quality and authenticity. The Peduzzi brothers focused their efforts on creating a corporate image that would establish the Rustichella d’Abruzzo brand as synonymous with artisanal quality and the excellence of Made in Italy.”
A PREMIUM BRAND IN 70 COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD
